I found this collection of short stories - all fantasy / fairy-tale remakes - to be excellent! Some a little sweet, some a little dark, but definitely something for everyone. Definitely recommend!

PROMISED IN THE SHADOWS

Saoirse really wanted that job as a translator. She could read many languages, her father taught her well. However, translation and university was for men, not women. Why do they really want to now what is written in these ancient tomes? The more she reads the closer she gets to an answer. But, to what question. Looking forward to more of this story

Williams had me captivated from the start of this short story. Good job with world-building and setting; I enjoyed discovering more of this location as the story unfolded. I do wish it had been a bit longer, I wanted to know how things ultimately turned out. Who is she really? Who is he? What will happen in their world, now that they are together? So many questions.
